A custom mug is most useful when its shape, capacity, material, decoration, and care requirements fit the recipient's routine. An office coffee mug, hospitality item, event gift, camping mug, and packaged client gift should not be sourced as the same product with a different logo.

Define where the mug will be used

• Office desks: consider stability, handle comfort, capacity, cleaning, and storage.
• Hospitality: consider service workflow, stacking, replacement, care, and the property environment.
• Events: consider carton handling, presentation, breakage risk, and whether recipients must carry the mug home.

Compare shape, capacity, and material

Care statements may apply differently to the mug, lid, and decoration, so confirm the complete decorated product.

Plan packaging and freight

Mugs can be fragile, heavy, and space-consuming. Confirm individual boxes, dividers, protective packing, master-carton quantities, labeling, and how decorated pieces are handled. If mugs are included in gift kits, review the final packed weight, component separation, and presentation.

For individual shipment, define recipient labels, inserts, address handling, and the process for damage or delivery exceptions. These requirements belong in the initial quote.
